THANK YOU BELL for being our Presenting sponsor for Diwali Razzmatazz – Mississauga
Diwali RazzMatazz is all about Razzle and Dazzle around the festive celebrations of Diwali, also known as the festival of lights.
Indo-Canada Arts Council has conducted the annual festival at the prestigious Mississauga Celebration Square since 2014 and is attended by over 50000 people each year. The festival provides a platform for over 500 artists and performers. ICAC partners with numerous organizations and institutions that keep the younger generations connected to their rich heritage and culture to showcase their talent. DRZMZ also provides the youth and younger children with an opportunity to gain confidence by sharing the stage and performing alongside world renowned artists and celebrities.
2020 was the year of innovation & technology. ICAC with its creative team and multimedia artists created a virtual projection over the Mississauga City Hall with Diwali greetings in different languages.
Diwali RazzMatazz festival is funded in part by the government of Canada through its Canada Heritage funding program of “Building Communities through Arts & Heritage”.
ICAC encourages and promotes the home-grown Canadian talent and provides an opportunity to perform alongside internationally acclaimed and famous artists. ICAC also collaborates with Canadian and international artists for joint productions. Each year over 300 budding artists who are undergoing their coaching and workshops, get to perform and showcase their acquired skills and talent. More than 20 organizations, dance schools and musical institutes encourage their students to perform and overcome their performance anxiety and stage fright.
International Artists such as Mika Singh, Richa Sharma, Mallika Sherawat, Kumar Sharma, Svetlana Tulasi, Kathak Rockers, and Madhavapeddi Murthy to numerous other groups and individuals, have come to perform at DRZMZ festivals over the past few years.
ICAC coordinates with artisans, painters, sculptors, musicians, singers, dancers, speakers, and performers to come forward and participate. DRZMZ is all about festive shopping, mouth-watering food vendors, corporate vendors, decors, community informative booths, and kid’s activities for all ages and genres.
We’re always looking for ways to partner with communities and their leaders, volunteers, content creators, and corporate sponsors.
